Third edition of Green Events Europe opens registration

Registration has opened for the 3rd GreenEvents Europe Conference in Bonn on November 5th and 6th 2011 at the Wissenschaftszentrum, Bonn, Germany.

The conference will offer high-level input by speakers of international reputation without neglecting practical relevance and direct applicability. Excursions to interesting institutions of the recycling industry will complete the programme.  Prominent speakers include Chis Johnson (Green Festival Alliance), Jacob Bilabel (Green Music Initiative), Claire O’Neil (A Greener Festival), Marie A. Rogvi (Roskilde Festival), Stephanie Weigel (Tollwood Festival), Christopher Maughan (De Montfort University) and Franz-August Emde (Bundesamt für Naturschutz). Green Events Europe offers top level input – without losing touch of the practical implementation. Please find the latest program (subject to changes) here:

The conference aims to deal with the challenges involved in environmental protection and sustainability within an event’s organisation and promotion. Topics to discussed with all parties involved (promoters, venues, suppliers etc.) include green basics in event management, mobility management, renewables in concert, social projects of (major) events, green sponsorship or the link between environmental and audience protection among others – on the basis of practical questions from promoters and the production point of view. The aim is to connect experts and professionals involved in event organisation to listen to other’s opinion and to start networks, exchange knowledge and best practice.
