AGF Awards Terms and Conditions
It is necessary to submit your self-assessment [at least 6 weeks] prior to the AGF Assessor site visit assessment to be eligible to be considered for the Award. Failure to submit the self-assessment prior to the event means your event cannot be considered the Award and the full award entry fee is non-refundable.
Applications should be made no later than 6 weeks prior to the event or date that you wish for us to make the site assessment.
All data submitted by the Applicant must be truthful and accurate to the best of your knowledge. AGF Awards depend upon the accuracy of the information provided to us. AGF reserved the right to revoke or refuse to make an award should it transpire that misleading evidence has been deliberately provided.
Each AGF award given is annually. It is necessary to repeat the assessment each year to receive the subsequent annual award. If there have been any material or substantial changes to your event or the management of your event then a new self assessment must be submitted and a site visit must be arranged.
Supporting evidence must be submitted in a timely fashion post event, as required by the AGF assessors. Any supporting evidence may not be included if submitted 3 months or more after the site assessment date. Any late evidence will be considered in the subsequent year’s assessment.
Where applicable, any travel and accommodation costs for assessors must be covered and reimbursed by the Applicant. AGF will use their reasonable efforts to ensure these costs will be kept to a minimum, and agreed with the Applicant prior to confirmation.
We request that where applicable meals are provided for assessors if they are within the operational event grounds for more than 8 hours.
Generally, 2 AGF assessors will visit each applicants site or venue, and AGF will seek to source the most local assessors wherever possible to reduce costs and emissions.
To participate in the AGF Awards we will require 100% payment of fees upfront by you, within 30 days of invoice or 21 days prior to the site visit date, whichever is sooner.
Assessors expenses are submitted directly to the event by the assessor along with receipts, unless alternative arrangements are made with AGF in advance.
VAT is chargeable in addition on UK application fees, and also upon EU application fees unless a valid VAT number is provided.
CANCELLATIONS MADE MORE THAN 8 WEEKS PRIOR TO EVENT, CANCELLATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO A £75 ADMIN CHARGE, PLUS ANY INCURRED ASSESSOR EXPENSES.
CANCELLATIONS MADE LESS THAN 8 – 4 WEEKS PRIOR TO THE EVENT A NON-REFUNDABLE 50% DEPOSIT IS PAYABLE ON ALL AWARD ASSESSMENT FEES, PLUS FULL PAYMENT OF ANY INCURRED ASSESSOR EXPENSES.
CANCELLATIONS MADE LESS THAN 4 WEEKS PRIOR TO THE EVENT 100% OF THE APPLICATION FEE IS PAYABLE, PLUS FULL PAYMENT OF ANY INCURRED ASSESSOR EXPENSES.
IN THE CASE OF EVENT POSTPONEMENT DUE TO COVID, IT IS POSSIBLE TO DEFER THE ASSESSMENT TO THE FOLLOWING YEAR OR NEWLY ARRANGED EVENT DATE. ANY ASSESSOR EXPENSES ALREADY INCURRED FOR THE ORIGINAL EVENT DATE / LOCATION PLUS THE £75 ADMIN FEE MUST BE PAID BY THE EVENT IN FULL.
All AGF assessors are required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement prior to completing and assessment of any applicant to the AGF Awards.
A Greener Festival Ltd (AGF) are regularly entrusted with client’s sensitive operational information. All of our staff and Assessors are subject to Non-Disclosure Agreements. Any information and data gathered by A Greener Festival Ltd in relation to the Applicant’s Event remains the property of the Applicant, and will not be disclosed to any third party unless specifically requested by the client or agreed in writing.
Only headline awards are released publicly by AGF (i.e. Improvers / Commended / Highly Commended / Outstanding). Should an event fail an application this will not be announced publicly, but instead feedback will be given to the Applicant to aid improvement for future editions. More detailed scores kept confidential by AGF, unless the Applicant themselves chooses to release these publicly.
Scores and data will only be used by AGF to create anonymous aggregate analysis of all applicants to provide stats and benchmarks for the sector.
All AGF assessment materials, processes, procedures, all collated and/or anonymised data and feedback reports (and the Report) remain the Intellectual Property of A Greener Festival Ltd (AGF). The AGF logo Is protected by Copyright Law. The AGF Awards logo is a registered European Community Trade Mark. The name and mark A Greener Festival and Awards logo cannot be used without express written permission.
AGF Feedback Report’s and Recommendations are produced based upon information and data provided by the Festival or Event to A Greener Festival Ltd (“AGF”) and the independent assessor(s). Whilst every effort is made to present a current and accurate report based upon that information, AGF makes no guarantees of any kind as to the nature or accuracy of the Report or the data. The Report provided by AGF to the Festival or Event may offer general recommendations based on the data provided, AGF’s analysis of that data, and current good practice. However, specific professional advice tailored to the Event or Festival should always be taken on matters referred to in the Report. AGF makes no representations or warranties, express or implied. A Greener Festival Ltd accepts no liability whatsoever for any loss or liability or damage caused or alleged to be caused by the use of the data herein and/or the Report or any reliance thereon by the Applicant or any third party.
