A local authority on the Italian Riveria has decided to ban boats from dropping anchor along its coast after a report showed that boats, including the many super yachts anchoring in secluded coves, were destroying seagrass meadows in Posidonia, home to a wide variety of marine flora and fauna including seahorses, starfish and wrasse. Liguria is banning all yachts over five metres (16 feet) from 26 new sites along the Italian coast that recently had nautical visits from Jennifer Lopez, Italian national football coach Marcello Lippi and Wayne Rooney and Colleen Mcloughlin.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
