A Look Back at GEI14 - 29th April 2022
GEI is a partnership with not-for-profit sustainability specialists AGF and the International Live Music Conference (ILMC) which is the world’s leading platform for the touring and festival sectors. And while GEI is typically held as a standalone event, the 2022 edition took place inside ILMC, inviting 1000+ of the world’s top promoters, festival organisers and artist representatives to attend. We welcomed industry leaders, professionals, visionaries, governments and all individuals and organisations all working to bring environmental and social sustainability to the live events, sports and creative sectors.
The theme for GEI 13 held in March 2021 was transition and transformation, as we reflected on what we lost, what we need to let go of, and how we could be both receptive and active to co-create a better future. Such transformation takes nurture and persistence. Following the inspiration, motivation and huge importance of the discussions and actions to come from GEI13, as well as the growing urgency for a cohesive sustainable regrowth of the live entertainment, events and sports sectors, GEI14 succeeded in bringing inspiring people together to advance the movement for change.
The conference mixed practical case studies, discussion panels and presentations, and facilitated those all important networking opportunities to accelerate change. GEI14 demonstrated the latest solutions and technologies, as well as crucial challenges to be addressed. Following COP26 where the world gathered in Glasgow around the subject of collective action on climate change, we were proud to bring an international and industry wide perspective to these global issues.
Join us again at GEI15 to further connect, collaborate and advance this important work.

Testimonials
Very informative event, with a great focus on the need for collaboration. Which is most definitely needed on the very important and relevant topic of sustainability.
-Brad Ireland, MHM Plant Ltd
I found the day to be incredibly uplifting and inspiring. It was great to be in a room with so many other event organisers with a real passion for making events greener and more sustainable. The talks were incredibly informative and included some great speakers and I felt I took a lot of information away that I could apply to my event planning.
