The United Nations is an exponent of the Sustainable Development Goals, with UNEP and UNCCC at the helm for environmental stability.
The EU has committed to ambitious goals with its Green Deal and Circular Economy action plans. Meanwhile, national governments have committed to drastic emissions reductions and biodiversity restoration programmes. All these projects echo the ambitions and targets of the events and creative industries. Are these commitments translating to effective action and change at the pace needed?
Using the immense power of these agents of communication and change, with explicitly common objectives, how do we in the events industry commit and support one another in order to ensure that these targets are met and challenge the structures that hold us back?
