School solar panels could generate £40 million

Installing solar panels on the roof s of schools accross England and Wales could earn schools £40 million – and community centres could raise another £18 million if they adopted the same tactic. The findings come from a new report from British Gas and the Institute for Public Policy Research into the feed-in tarifff which repays homeowners and other organisations who provide power to the National Grid. Michael Eavis is currently installing solar panels on the roof of his barns and cow shed (the famous Moo-Tel) at Worthy Farm to provide power for the Farm and providing surplus power to the Grid.
